PRODUCTION EMPLOYEE

We are currently seeking energetic and hardworking candidates to join our production team. This position involves general cleanup – physically handling and lifting materials, throughout both sawmill and planer production environments.

General Production Cleanup provides tremendous growth opportunities, where motivated individuals are able to train, and excel in various areas throughout the site.

The ideal candidate must be available to work various shifts (days, afternoons, and graveyard) from Monday to Friday and should be able to work both independently and in a team setting. A strong work ethic, good physical condition, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Duties

As a production employee, you have the ability to learn multiple jobs throughout the sawmill or planer. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • General site clean up
  • Strip Piler
  • Lumber Wrapper
  • Carloading

During your tenure with the company, you have the ability to expand your knowledge on the many different machine centres within the mill through internal job postings.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Must be available to work various shifts – days, afternoons & graveyard (Monday to Friday)
  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner; independently, or in a team environment.
  • Must be in good physical condition.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers license.
  • Must follow safe work practices and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • May be exposed to elements of weather.
  • Knowledge of the lumber manufacturing process would be an asset.
  • Preference may be given to those with OFA-Level 3 certification.
