As a Reliability Engineer you will play a key role in the operation and maintenance of our Power Plant. As a senior leader in the team, you’ll bring your engineering expertise to drive process improvements, boost plant performance, and help achieve industry-leading availability targets. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you’ll collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, and planning teams to ensure smooth, efficient plant operations.
Duties
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting & Training: Standardize and train plant staff on root cause analysis and troubleshooting approaches.
- Management of Change: Implement and manage a formal change management process, ensuring plant personnel are trained and aligned.
- Asset & Record Management: Improve asset tracking and record management processes, including plant drawings and system updates.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and lead efforts for system improvements, re-engineering, and performance optimization.
- Maintenance Metrics: Develop and track maintenance metrics for critical assets (e.g., mean time between failure, repair times) to minimize downtime and improve scheduling.
- Condition Monitoring: Lead efforts to monitor the condition of key plant systems (e.g., motors, transformers, conveyors) and manage high-wear item lifecycles.
- NDE & Compliance: Assist in planning non-destructive examinations (NDE) and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Long-Term Planning: Create and manage long-term (3-5 year) mechanical and electrical maintenance plans.
- Capacity & Performance: Track, report, and optimize plant capacity and availability metrics.

- Post-secondary degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license

- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to analyze complex data and present actionable insights
- Proactive team player with a hands-on approach
