We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated individual to be our Planning Forester/Planning Supervisor and join our dynamic Woodlands Team and Planning Department in either Prince George or Mackenzie, BC with travel between the two locations.
This is an exciting opportunity for professionals to contribute to forestry operations while maintaining the highest standards of environmental stewardship.
As a Planning Forester/Planning Supervisor, you will be responsible for forest development planning and collaborating with First Nations and other stakeholders. This role involves strategic landscape and operational planning, stakeholder consultation, and ensuring compliance with forestry legislation and regulations.
Duties
- Contribute to landscape and operational level planning, including harvest profile management.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration with First Nations and other stakeholders in landscape and site level planning.
- Implementation of legislation, forestry regulations, policies, orders and guidelines.
Qualifications
- University degree or Technical Diploma in Forestry (RPF/RFT or eligible for registration).
- Minimum 2 years, preferably with 5+ years' experience in forestry, including planning, stakeholder communication, and remote sensing.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Strong computer skills and aptitude for forestry-based technologies.
- Ability to travel and work outdoors in an array of weather conditions as needed.
